The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Ibrahim Tanko has been reminded that judges are decisionally independent of one another and therefore not accountable to their Chief Justices for decisions they make and therefore no need for the CJN to summon Chief Justices of states for decisions rendered by individual judges.

It is now obvious that governors in Nigeria are not interested in judicial and parliamentary autonomy enshrined in the 1999 constitution. They are interested in ruling autocratically without any recourse to the Nigerian constitution
