SEVEN SISTERS ROAD, London – Tracey Robinson, 46 of no fixed abode was jailed on Thursday, 2 March, at Blackfriars Crown Court here after pleading guilty to one count of robbery.
Her victim was a 30 year-old woman with learning difficulties who was known to Robinson. The attack took place on Monday, 23 January in Seven Sisters Road . The victim had visited a cash point to withdraw some money.
As she was walking away from the cash point she was set upon by Robinson who grappled her to the ground and snatched the money from her hand. The complainant suffered minor injuries however was badly shaken up as a result of being grappled by to the ground.
The victim identified Robinson to police and she was arrested on Wednesday, 1 February. She was subsequently charged.
DC Marcus Johnson of Islington CID said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a vulnerable female for no other reason than financial gain. Had it not been for the early guilty plea the victim would have had to attend court and recount her traumatic ordeal. The sentence imposed has reflected the early guilty plea entered by Robinson.
