LONDON – A SICK psychotherapist who preyed on vulnerable women seeking his help has been caged after detectives dramatically reopened a cold case and uncovered his decade-long campaign of abuse.

Calculated monster Tarkan Mustafa, 55, used his North London “Peace of Mind” practice as a hunting ground,

sexually assaulting two patients under the guise of medical treatment.
The shamed shrink was today handed 3 years and 9 months at Wood.

Mustafa, of Woodlands Way, Southgate, was found guilty of seven counts of sexual assault, including sexual touching, following a two-week trial.

His vile crimes included using highly sexualised language, “massaging” victims’ breasts under the pretext of ‘complementary therapy’, and pressing his erect penis against them.

Mustafa was first reported in 2016 by a patient, but no further action was taken by the CPS at the time due to a lack of evidence.

But when a second victim bravely came forward in 2020—describing similar assaults from 2014—Met Police detectives swooped, noticing the chilling similarities.
It led to a full-scale reopening of the nine-year-old investigation.

Detective Sergeant Myles Bossman, who led the investigation, hailed the victims’ courage.

He said: “Mustafa is a calculated individual. He took advantage of women who were seeking his support for his own sexual gratification, under the guise of medical treatment.”

DS Bossman added: “Today’s sentencing shows that regardless of the amount of time passed, reports will be taken seriously, victims will be supported, and those responsible for committing violence against women will be brought to justice.”

The Met stressed that the renewed focus reflects their commitment to protecting victims, with charges for such offences more than doubling since 2022.
Mustafa will now be placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life and faces a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

WERE YOU A VICTIM?
Detectives are now urging any other potential victim-survivors to come forward.
