Nigeria, Oct 11, 2016 – Canon Company, maker of various electronic devices, ranging from cameras to copiers, lenses and video equipment has restated its willingness to grab its fair share of the Nigerian market.

This was the summary of the message leading partners received at the dinner put together by the company at the Oriental Hotel Lagos where management of the organisation made it very clear that is now in Nigeria to get its own share of the market.

Canon formerly entered Nigeria nine months ago but has been able to compete effectively with leading brands prompting a re-launch which brought together leading distributors into the Canon network.

For now the company has an office in Lagos but hopes to set up an office in Abuja with staff needed to make a grand entry into Nigeria.

Canon also used the opportunity to showcase its range of products to invited guests, ranging from office equipment to camera, lenses and video camera.

The highlight is the Canon EOS video camera which was actually deployed in the production of a movie, with cinematic effects. It was projected to be very ideal for Nollywood which has become noted for home videos worldwide.

For the guest it was indeed an opportunity for them to have a taste of Canon as they all went home with Canon Selphy CP 1000 good enough to start a photography business. Others went home with copiers for paying attention during all the presentation.
For 70 years, Canon has been delivering leading edge imaging technologies to customers across the world.

Established in 1937, Canon has grown into a global company operating in a diverse range of markets, including Business Solutions, Consumer Imaging, Broadcast & Communications, Medical Systems and Industrial Products
