MONROVIA, Liberia – The crème de la crème of world football descended on Monrovia, capital of Liberia on Monday as former World Player of the Year, George Oppong Ousmane Weah was sworn –in as President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Liberia.
Weah won the Africa Player of the Year, European Player of the Year and World Player of the Year titles in a single season – 1995. Last month, after one failed attempt, he was elected President of Liberia.
