    March 31, 2015 – Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) General Muhammadu Buhari was Tuesday evening declared winner of the 2015 general elections held on Saturday.

    Buhari polled a total of 15,238, 223 votes to defeat the incumbent, President Goodluck Jonathan who scored 12, 855, 926 votes.

    APC won a total of 21 states while the PDP won 15 states plus Abuja.
