LAGOS, Nigeria – Prominent Nigerian cross dresser and social media personality, Idris Okuneye better known as Bobrisky has called on the House of Representatives to hasten the passage of the bill to jail cross dressers in Nigeria.

Bobrisky who was reacting to the bill  to prohibit cross-dressing in Nigeria introduced by Umar Muda, a member of the House of Representatives mocked the promoter, stressing that the good thing about the bill is that it help to achieve five things of serious concern to Nigerians:

“It will finally solve Nigeria’s insecurity challenges; improve power supply; end ASUU strike; repair the negative impression foreigners have about Nigeria and cause the reduction of prices of items in the market”, he said in reply to the bill, adding “be fast, please”.

The bill is seeking to outlaw cross dressing while offenders are liable to six months imprisonment or to a fine of N500,000.  Besides, the bill seeks to amend the same-sex marriage (prohibition) act of 2013 by injecting cross-dressing as one of the offences under the act.
