WUSE, Abuja, Nigeria – Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)House of Representative aspirant in Ideato North Local Government of Imo State, Mr. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere has called on the Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba Usman and the Department of State Security, DSS to arrest one Uchenna Chinasa Nwaneri for the bombing, killings and destruction of properties in his Akokwa Ideato home.

During the January 14th, 2023 attach, his uncle was killed in cold blood, his houses and several properties were burnt and destroyed by the assailants.

Ugochinyere who held a minute silence for his uncle killed and others killed formerly declared an end to the mourning period over  what he described as sponsored terrorist and assassination attack carried out in his home that left “some of my associates and family members killed and wounded, houses and vehicles burnt”.

He said the arrest of Uchenna Chinasa Nwaneri will unearth those behind the wanton killings in Imo State adding that he received call that he will be killed from Uchenna Chinasa Nwaneri before the January 14 incident.

Ugochinyere who was addressing a world press conference in Wuse, Abuja aired by Channels Television, Arise News and others said the target of the attack was himself but that he missed it by the whiskers and wondered why the assailant would kill his innocent uncle when he is the target.

He said the Imo State Government is desperate to snuff life out of him  because of the volume of information and intelligence he has at his disposal  in other to impose his will on Nigerians.

He called on the electorates in Imo state to come out on February 25, vote and remain vigilant by staying behind even if it means  staying alert for one whole day to ensure that they vote out those who have made the killing of Imo people their major preoccupation.

He called on the president to act on his petition on efforts by the Imo State Government to corrupt the register of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, stressing that the Governor, Mr. Hope Uzodinma  and his agents are still working to compromise the 2023 election by invading areas where opposition is popular to intimidate voters and other ways, noting that the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari to deliver a free, fair and credible election in 2023 is in danger unless the president works on credible intelligence he has at his disposal.
