ABUJA, Nigeria – The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC and the Trade Union Congress, TUC have declared total war on Imo State over brutalisation of its president, Comrade Joe Ajaero by policemen and thugs believed to have been hired by the state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
At a press conference in Abuja, labour said it is embarking on the strike until all the conditions it presented to the Imo State Government are meant.
Labour, which condemned brutalisation of Joe Ajaero said uptil now, none of the demands presented to Hope Uzodimma have been met.
Labour said it has commenced series of activities that will culminate in the strike on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
