ABUJA, Nigeria – Asari Dokubo and his armed group have gathered few metres away from the Court of Appeal, where the 5-man panel of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, PEPT will render judgement on petitions against President Bola Tinubu’s victory during the February 25 presidential election.

Already security has been beefed up around the court with people only allowed in if they have a valid pass.

There’s heavy presence of DSS and other members of the security forces searching all with metal detectors before being allowed into the court.

On the social media, Nigerians have resulted to prayers in their quest to break those perceived as enemies of the people from having their way in the gang up to steal justice after stealing their mandate at the poll.

As they pray, their attention is on the 5-man panel, comprising Justice Haruna Tsammani; Justice Stephen Adah; Justice Misitura Bolaji-Yusuf; Justice Boloukuoromo Ugoh and Justice Abba Mohammed after six months of presentation of evidence and arguments by Senior Advocates of Nigeria in support of their clients at the tribunal.

While Nigerians wait they seem to have lost hope in the Judiciary following utterances of former Supreme Court judge, Justice Mary Odili and celebration by those seen to have rigged the election ahead of today’s judgement.

Nevertheless, there is nothing prayers cannot do. Even if prayers fail now, there’s another opportunity at the Supreme Court, which will be the final bus stop for losers.

As it is for now, all eyes on the Judiciary.
