US, June 15, 2016 – A 2-year old boy is feared to have been killed by an alligator that reportedly dragged him into a nearby pool of water at a Disney resort.
The boy, one in a family of three children from the state of Nebraska was with the family relaxing near the shore of the lagoon when the incident happened.
The boy according officials of the resort was on the shoreline of the Seven Seas Lagoon by the Disney Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Orlando when he was dragged away late on Tuesday, officials said.
Sheriff Jerry Demings confirmed that the boy’s father entered the water and tried to grab him from the alligator but he was unsuccessful.
So far about 50 policemen and wildlife experts were currently combing the resort including the lagoon for the boy. A Disney spokeswoman said the company was “devastated” by the incident.
