October 6, 2015 – National Crime Authority(UK), on Monday secured an order from a Wesminster Magistrate Court freezing the sum of 27,000 British Pounds belonging to former Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Maduake.

We gathered that the former minister was not in court on monday, but a BBC correspondent who spoke to Sahara reporter said both agency seized the money belonging to the former minister.

It was not clear if the money was part of the condition fulfilled by the former minister to secure bail when she was arrested last week.

The former minister was arrested with four other unidentified people by the British law enforcement agency for offences related to bribery and corruption being investigated by the UK National Crime Agency.
