LAGOS, Nigeria – Former Chairman of the All Progressive Congress(APC) who has overcome his routing in the Edo governorship election has said that “in life you win some and you lose some but that life goes on.

Adams Oshiomhole, whose candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu was defeated by Governor Godwin Obaseki in the  election spoke for the first time since the election which seems to have left him devasted.

“Adams Oshiomhole: in life you win some, and lose some but life goes on”, he said on the social media.  Oshiomhole became  governor of Edo State based on his popularity in the Nigerian Labour Congress(NLC), for his unparallel oratory and dogedness.

But soon after emerging as Edo Governor, he went about town boasting about his prowess, in defeating then Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) strongman, the late Chief Tony Anini often referred to as “Mr. Fix It” by saying “I unfixed Mr. Fix It” and that he has brought to an end the politics of God fatherism in Edo politics.

But as soon as he finished his tenure and succeded in installing Godwin Obaseki as his success, he seems to have  gone back to his vomit sought to be the godfather of Edo politics,  probabaly egged on by Lagos politics, where who becomes the governor is decided by  Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and he did all he could to frustrate the governor, whom he eventually eased out of the All Progressive Congress(APC), confident that he will have his way.

But he soon realised that Edo is not Lagos, especially after posting a day to the election, that his team is strategising, while the Obaseki’s team is lamenting.
