    Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 1031 new 12,510 active as UK lists 56,035 cases in 24 hours

    USA reports 252, 916 cases in one day; active cases now 34.4 million worldwide

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 1031 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 87,510. But out of the 87,510 all time cases,  73, 713 patients have been treated successfully and  discharged, while 1,289 others could not make it alive. Nigeria is now left with 12, 508 active cases of Coronavirus.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-570, FCT-117, Kaduna-109, Nasarawa-34, Bauchi-31, Kano-28, Plateau-26, Sokoto-26, Ogun-25, Edo-18, Rivers-16, Abia-10, Imo-7, Taraba-6, Delta-4 and Osun-4, making a total of 1031 new cases of Coronavirus.

    “NCDC@NCDC gov 1031 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-570, FCT-117, Kaduna-109, Nasarawa-34, Bauchi-31, Kano-28, Plateau-26, Sokoto-26, Ogun-25, Edo-18, Rivers-16, Abia-10, Imo-7, Taraba-6, Delta-4 and Osun-4 ; 87,510 confirmed ; 73,713 discharged ; 1,289 deaths”, the NCDC has reported.

    There are now 83,207, 199 confirmed cases of Coronavirus globally,  1, 813,229 people have been killed by the virus, while 46,957,892 others have been treated and discharged. There are now 34, 436, 078 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    The centre rates the United States as the most affected country worldwide, with 19, 906, 569 confirmed cases, 344,525 patients have been killed by the virus, total recoveries not documented(252,916 new 3, 569 deaths*), followed by India which has reported 10, 266, 674 all time infections,  148, 738 deaths and 9, 860, 280 recoveries, leaving India with 257, 656 active cases of Coronavirus(21, 822 new 299 deaths*) and Brazil which has documented  7, 619, 200  all time cases, 193, 875 deaths and  6, 840,494 recoveries, leaving  Brazil with 584, 831 active cases of Coronavirus(55, 649  new  1, 194 deaths*).

    Russia has come up as the 4th country most afflicted with 3, 127,347 confirmed cases, 56, 271 patients have passed on while  2, 527,722  others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Russia with 543, 354  active cases of Coronavirus(27, 329 new  and  579 deaths *), followed by France which has registered, 2, 677, 551 confirmations,  64, 759  patients are no more, while 200, 142 others have recovered, leaving France with 2, 412, 650 Coronavirus patients looking up to the best of medical care to keep living(19, 983 new and 252 deaths*) and  the United Kingdom which has reported  2, 496,204 all time infections, 73, 622 patients have been killed by the virus while  only  5, 460 patients  have been assisted to get out of their predicament, leaving the UK with 2, 417, 122 active cases of Coronavirus(56, 035 new and 966 deaths*).

    Turkey is now the 7th country worst hit by the Coronavirus pandemic, with  2, 208, 652 all time cases, 20, 881 deaths and 2,100, 650 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Turkey with 87, 121 active cases of Coronavirus(14, 380 new and 238 deaths*), followed by Italy which has reported 2, 107, 166 all time cases,  74, 159 deaths so far, while   1,463,111  others have been able to overcome the pandemic, leaving Italy with 569, 896 active cases of Coronavirus(23,477 new and 555 deaths*)  and Spain which has reported 1, 928,265 confirmations, 50, 837 patients are no more, while 150, 376 others have recovered according to official figures, leaving Spain with 1, 727, 052  active cases of Coronavirus(18, 047 new and 148 deaths*).

    Germany remains the 10th country most hit by the virus, reporting 1, 745, 636 all time cases, 33, 495 patients have passed on, while 1, 350,708 others have recovered, leaving Germany with 361, 433 active cases of Coronavirus(25, 820 new and 830 deaths* ) and South Africa which has documented  1, 039,161 all time infections, 28, 033 patients are no more, while 879,671 others have recovered, leaving South Africa with 131, 457 active cases of Coronavirus.
