UMUAHIA, Abia, Nigeria – Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, has revealed that there is no rift on who is the authentic Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), in Abia State.
He said that the purported rift in APGA does not exist, noting that it exists in the minds of those who don’t want good for the state.
According to him, the man claiming to be Chairman of the party, Nnanna Ukaegbu’s tenure of four years which began in 2014, had expired, and was succeeded by Rev Augustine Ehiemere.
Senator Abaribe, made the revelation in a local radio programme in Aba, in the aftermath of the inauguration of the party’s zonal campaign office in the city, to harness it’s activities in Abia South zone.
He said the office will have a modern state of the art facilities, to inform and educate members and other citizens, on the electoral and electioneering processes, as well as a rallying point for all contestants of elective positions under APGA.
“We are setting up the office as a rallying point for all APGA candidates, party members as well as Abians in Aba zone, to receive and disseminate information regarding our activities, that of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on the upcoming elections.
“Despite having our individual campaign offices, there’s need for us to have a centre where we gather to plan and work together for the good of our people, “he stated.
