January 11, 2015 – Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Jimi Agbaje has vowed to review teacher’s salary if elected into office as Governor of Lagos State.

Agbaje who made the vow on his Tweeter and Facebook pages said teachers whose leave allowances have been expunged under the present government of All Progressive Congress(APC) deserve the best and that they are due for salary review.

He also vowed to be the voice of market women in Lagos .

“I will be the voice of the Lagos market women”, he said adding that in a typical Lagos market, market women are subjected to an illegal fee of N1000 per day before they could display their wares for sale.

“ This illegal revenue with no proof of official receipt go directly into the coffers of the local government authority completely unaccounted for.

“ Current policies have grayed out what used to be clear distinction between taxation and regulation which have in turn created more hardship for the common market person.

“ I share their concerns and I have assured them that I am their voice”, he said.
