LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 753 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 180, 661. But out of the 180, 661 confirmed cases,  166, 560 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 200 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 11, 901 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 5 patients died in the last 24 hours.

NCDC:  753 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 364, Akwa Ibom – 141, Oyo – 74,  Rivers – 46, Abia – 38,  Ogun – 24,  Kwara – 20,  FCT – 12, Ekiti – 10,  Delta – 9,  Edo – 6,  Plateau – 5, Imo -3, Bayelsa -1; 180,  661 confirmed; 166, 560 discharged; 2, 200 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are  now  205, 306, 156  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 331, 322 patients have passed on, while 4, 566, 774,269 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics  from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, reporting 36, 326, 709 confirmed cases, while 619, 185 patients have been killed by the virus(150, 164 new and 340 deaths*) , followed by India, which has registered 32, 077, 706  all time infections, while 429, 669 patients have perished(41, 195new and 490 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 20, 245, 085 all time cases, while 565,748 patients are no more.

Russia remains the 4^th most affected country, now reporting 6, 447,229 all time cases, while 165,201 patients have kicked the bucket(21, 311 and 788 deaths*), followed by France which has reported 6, 468, 636 all time infections, while 112, 697 patients have died(28, 554 new and 77deaths*) and the United Kingdom which had documented 6, 208, 745 patients and 131, 015 deaths(32, 738 new and 95 deaths*).

Turkey has come up as the 7^th country most hit, reporting 6, 018, 455 confirmations while 52, 703 patients have passed on(22, 261 new and 138 deaths*) and Argentina with 5, 052, 884  all time cases, while 108, 388 patients have been killed by the virus and Colombia which has reported 4,852, 323 all time cases and 122, 953 deaths.

Spain remains the 10^th country most hit with 4, 677, 883  confirmed cases, while 82, 407 patients are no more(17, 410 new and 87 deaths*) and South Africa with 2, 568, 511 confirmed cases, while 76,247 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(14, 271 new and 473 deaths*).
