LAGOS, Nigeria – A Federal High Court, sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos has fixed October 5, 2021 for continuation of trial of Afeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley for credit card  fraud.

Justice Nicholas Oweibo adjourned the matter to October 5 for continuation of trial when the matter came up for hearing on Monday.  Recall that Naira Marley was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in September 2019 on 11 count charge of credit fraud.

He had pleaded not guilty to the charges. Since commencement of trial,  the prosecution had called two witnesses, namely Nuru Buhari Dalhatu and Augustine Anosike, both Forensic expert with the EFCC.

Both experts revealed in court how the defendant frequently visited website where credit cards were sold to interested fraudsters and used to defraud innocent people.
