    Coronavirus: Brazil reports 76,178 new as active cases in Nigeria drops to 13, 245

    IKEJA, Lagos – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 120 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 160,657. But out of the 160,657 confirmed cases, 145,399 patients have been treated and  discharged , while 2,013  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 13, 245 active cases of Coronavirus.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-32, Rivers-25, Kaduna-20, Bayelsa-13, Kano-7, Jigawa-5, Borno-5, Abia-4, Oyo-3, Plateau-2, FCT-1, Ogun-1, Nasarawa-1 and Imo-1, making a total of 120 new cases of Coronavirus.

     There are currently 119, 770, 827 confirmed cases of Corona virus worldwide, 2, 651, 712 patients have passed on while 67, 818, 098 others have recovered and therefore discharged. The world is now left with 49, 301, 017 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected country, reporting 29, 430, 724 all time cases, 534, 810  patients have kicked the bucket(42, 977 new*), followed by Brazil which has reported 11, 439, 558 confirmations, 277, 102  patients are no more, while 10, 080, 820 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Brazil with 1, 081, 636 active cases of Coronavirus(76, 178 new and 1998 deaths*) and India, which has registered 11, 359,048 confirmed cases,  158, 607 patients are already dead, while 10, 989, 897 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving India with 210, 544 active cases of Coronavirus(25, 320 new and 161 deaths*).

    Russia remains the 4th country worst hit by the pandemic, now reporting 4, 341,381  all time cases,  90, 558 patients have passed on while 3, 949, 891 others have  been treated and discharged, leaving Russia with 300, 932  active cases of Coronavirus(9985 new and 389 deaths*), followed by the United Kingdom which has documented 4, 271, 710  confirmations,  125, 753 patients are no more, while 11, 972 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving the UK with 4, 133, 985 active cases of Coronavirus(4775 new and 52 deaths*) and France which has registered 4, 131,872 confirmed cases,  90, 583 patients are no more, while  279, 752 others are now hale and hearty, leaving France with 3, 761, 537 active cases of Coronavirus(26, 348 new and 207 deaths*).

    Italy remains the 7th country worst hit by the virus, now reporting 3, 223, 142  confirmed cases, 102, 145 deaths and 2, 589, 731 recoveries, leaving Italy with 429, 121 active cases of Coronavirus(21, 304 new and 264 deaths*) and Spain which has documented 3, 183, 704  all time infections,  72, 258 patients  have lost their lives to the virus, while 150, 376 others  are now okay, leaving Spain with 2, 961, 070 active cases of Coronavirus  and Turkey with   2, 879, 390  all time cases,  29, 489 patients are already dead, while  2, 701, 076 others have recovered, leaving Turkey with 147, 825 active cases of Coronavirus. (13, 378 new and 68 deaths*)

    Germany, now  the tenth most affected country has reported 2, 578, 843 all time cases,  73, 425 deaths and 2, 362, 709 recoveries, leaving Germany with 142, 709 active cases of Coronavirus(8979 new and 56 deaths*) and South Africa which has reported 1, 529, 420 all time infections,  51, 326 patients are already dead, while 1, 454,290 others have  survived, leaving South Africa with  23, 804 active cases of Coronavirus(2547 new and 65 deaths*).
