LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 132 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing all time cases of the pandemic to 56,388.

Out of the 56,388 confirmed cases, 44,337 patients have been discharged, while 1,083 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 10, 968 : active cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-52, Gombe-27, Plateau-17, Kwara-10, Enugu-9, Ogun-9, Katsina-3, Ekiti-2, Bauchi-1, Osun-1 and Rivers-1, making a total of 132 new cases of the pandemic.

However, global statistics of Coronavirus has moved up, with confirmed cases standing at 29, 136, 948 while 925, 820 lives have been snatched away by the pandemic. Of these figures, only 19, 678, 810 patients have been able to survive the pandemic, the Centre for System Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland has said.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected in terms of casualties and total number impacted. The US currently has 6,545,948 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 194, 367 lives have been lost, while 2, 450, 184 patients have received healing, leaving the US with 3, 901, 397 active cases of Coronavirus(30, 813 new cases), followed by India, which has documented 4, 846, 427 all time cases, 79, 722 others have been killed by the virus, while 3,780, 107 patients were assisted to recovery, leaving India with 986, 598 patients to treat for Coronavirus(92, 071 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 4, 330, 455 all time cases of the pandemic, 131, 625 deaths and 3, 723, 206 recoveries, leaving Brazil with 475, 624 active cases of the virus(14, 768 new cases).

Russia maintains the 4^th spot with 1, 064, 438 cases recorded over time, 18, 573 patients have been killed by the virus, while 876,152 patients have recovered, leaving Russia with 169, 713 patients to assist in getting back at their feet, followed by Peru with 729, 619 all time cases, 30,710 lives have been lost, while 566,796 others have been given clean bill of health, leaving Peru with 132, 113 Coronavirus patients hoping to overcome the virus(6, 787 new cases) and Colombia which has documented 716, 319 confirmed cases, 22, 924 patients have passed on while 599,385 others have conquered the deadly virus, leaving Colombia with 94,010 active cases(7, 355 new cases).

Mexico, now the 7^th country most impacted by the pandemic has documented 668,381 all time cases, while 70, 821 others have lost their lives, but 557,381patients have been able to conquer the virus, leaving Mexico with 40, 179 patients hoping for the best to get back on their feet(4, 408 new cases), followed by South Africa with 649,793 all time cases,15, 447 patients are dead while 577, 906 others have overcome the pandemic, leaving South Africa with 56, 440 patients to manage for Coronavirus and Spain which has reported 593, 730 cases over time, 29, 848 lives have been lost to the pandemic, while 150, 376 patients have been discharged, leaving Spain with 413,506 patients to manage for Coronavirus(27, 404 new cases).

Argentina now stands as the 10^th country most impacted by the pandemic with 555,537 all time cases, 11, 412 deaths and 428, 953 recoveries, leaving Argentina with 115, 172 active cases of the pandemic(9,024 new cases), followed by Chile which has reported 436, 433 all time cases, 12, 013 patients have lost their lives to the virus while 407, 725 others have managed to overcome, leaving Chile with 16, 695 patients languishing in hospitals(1, 685 new cases) and France which has documented 425, 648 all time cases, 30, 958 lives have been lost while 90, 300 patients have been assisted to overcome the pandemic, leaving France with 304, 390 active cases of Coronavirus(23, 322 new cases).

Iran remains the 13^th country worst hit by the pandemic, reporting 404, 648 confirmed cases, 23, 313 deaths and 348,013 others have been discharged, leaving Iran with 33, 322 active cases of the pandemic, followed by the United Kingdom with 373, 553 all time cases, 41, 726 patients have died, while only 2, 152 patients have been discharged, leaving the U.K with 329, 675 patients to assist in making recovery(2, 625 new cases) and Italy (19) with 288, 761all time cases of the virus, 35, 624 patients have been killed while 213, 950 others have been discharged, leaving Italy with 39, 187 patients in need of medical attention to overcome the pandemic(1,008 new cases) and China which is currently the 36^th most affected country. China has reported 90, 211 all time cases, 4, 735 deaths and 85,092 recoveries, leaving China with 384 active cases of Coronavirus.
