LAGOS, Nigeria – Nigeria’s iconic drummer, Aralola Olumuyiwa says she was tempted to commit suicide at certain point in her life. Aralola who was speaking on TVC programme, ‘Your View’, said that moment came when she was kept away from the public due to the contract she entered with a particular agency.
Aralola said it was for issue of this nature she was forced to terminate her contract in other to be free.

“I brought out all the breakables in my room and started smashing them”, she said. Aralola who said she was born with her left hand curved on her body in preparation for her drumming career is blessed with a son.
Although, her son is 18 and currently lives in hostel, she is so much tied to him that it is virtually impossible for her to do anything without him. “I find time to stay with him though he stays in hostel in school”, she said.
Aralola who performed in full custome during Felabration, held yearly to honour the late Afrobeat King, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, said she currently does movies.
She would prefer an experienced worker to certificated worker since there is room for the experienced worker to adjust than a person who is certified but whose certificates fits into a particular job.
