LONDON, UK – Member of Parliament, Mr. Boris Johnson has been elected Leader of Conservative Party. His election has put him in line to be the next Prime Minister of Britain.
He defeated Labour Party, Leader, Jeremy Corbyn during a vote in parliament and would be named as Prime Minister of Great Britain on Wednesday.
Boris Johnson will now be saddled with the task of leading the United Kingdom on Brexit. He has already promised to deliver on Brexit if elected PM.
Already, Boris Johnson has been receiving congratulatory messages from world leaders. In congratulating him, President Donald Trump said Boris Johnson will be great as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
“Congratulations to Boris Johnson on becoming the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He will be great!”, he said.
