COOPERATE WITH BUHARI, OSINBAJO, NDDC TELLS NIGERIANS
PORT HARCOURT, Rivers, Nigeria – The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has called on Nigerians to continue to support and cooperate with President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in their combined effort to transform Nigeria for the betterment of the citizens.
The call was contained in a press statement meant to welcome back President Buhari from his medical vacation in the United Kingdom (UK) and personally signed by the Chairman of the Governing Board of the Commission, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba.
The statement reads: “On behalf of the Board and Management of the Niger Delta Development Commission, I heartily welcome back our very dear President and Commander-in-Chief, President Muhammadu Buhari from his medical vacation in the United Kingdom.
“Mr. President’s return is a great relief from the anxiety that the President’s absence had understandably generated in spite of the fact that Mr. President did what was constitutionally needful of him by transmitting authority to the Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo. However, some people for whatever reasons tried to exacerbate the understandable anxiety to needless propaganda. We thank God that the President is back and ready to return to the challenge of nation building and clearing our Augean Stable.
“We congratulate Prof Yemi Osinbajo for the capable manner he steered the ship of the State during Mr. President’s absence. He has demonstrated that he is a loyal and competent Vice President and indeed that there is just one Presidency.
“I urge Nigerians not only to continue to cooperate with them (Buhari and Osinbajo) but to also continue to pray for them as they undertake their onerous responsibilities.”
