LAGOS, Nigeria – Nollywood star Regina Daniels, wife of Nigerian billionaire and Senator Ned Nwoko, has revealed an explosive family feud, confessing she was once so desperate to marry the tycoon she contemplated suicide.
In a shocking, tearful video posted at 5 AM, the actress—a teenage sensation who married Nwoko when she was just 19—detailed a spiralling crisis, admitting her family is “actually in tumour.”
The 25-year-old star confessed she hadn’t slept, stating the dramatic plea was necessary because “everybody is fighting for me, my brother, mum, they are fighting for me.”
The ‘Coconut Head’ Confession
The video, which Regina said “should not exist because I am too big for it,” paints a terrifying picture of a marriage under intense strain, despite the couple sharing two young sons, Munir and Khalifa.
The most extraordinary revelation came as Daniels looked back at the early days of their controversial union in 2019, which saw the young actress become the sixth wife of a man four decades her senior.
”I drove out in the night I was going to kill myself If I don’t marry Ned,” she confessed, before saying she went to the police station instead. “I fell in love and I still love and respect you,” she insisted to Nwoko.
However, the love is now laced with resentment over what she claims is the Senator’s treatment of her mother, Rita Daniels, also a famous actress.
”Stop insulting my mother, for 7 years my mother held it down,” the actress pleaded. “It is me, coconut head, I was too afraid to say it.”
’I Will Fight For My Children’
Regina strongly pushed back on claims that she and her mother were “broke” when the marriage occurred. “We were not broke,” she asserted, claiming her mother “trained everyone” and that she herself was “a gift to my mother. God used me to settle her.”
She confirmed her family had desperately tried to stop the marriage.
“She warned me, my brother’s warned me, everybody warned me,” she said, admitting she ignored them all.
The core of the current conflict appears to be their children.
”I will fight for my children Ned, I will take them,” she vowed. “I train them, I will raise them with or without your support.”
The actress revealed her brother has started an online petition and that “a lot of people signed up for it” within minutes, indicating a growing public awareness of the crisis.
She concluded the video by suggesting her primary reason for not pursuing a full-scale legal war is to protect her youngest son. “The reason I am not fighting you is bc I want kalifa’s name to be strong,” she stated.
Senator Ned Nwoko’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
