Robbers who dispossessed trader of N2.9 million cash nabbed
KANO, Nigeria – Officials of the Nigerian Police Force in Kano State have arrested suspected robbers who snatched N2.9 million cash from a trader.
The trader, Mr. Nura Ibrahim, male, according to the Kano State Police Command was trekking from his home to the main road with the sum of N2.9 million when he was attacked by hoodlums and dispossessed of the money.
The robbers, we gathered, ambushed him within his Kankiya Village, Garko Local Government of Kano State while on his way to the main road to board a bus to Kaduna for business.
The assailants also inflicted injury on his head before making away with his money.
The Police called on residents of Kano State to continue to report suspicious movement to the police.
“On 06/10/2023 at about 1600hrs, a report was received from one Nura Ibrahim, ‘m’ of Kankiya Village, Garko LGA, Kano that while on his way to Kaduna for his business, he was ambushed and attacked on his way at
“Garko LGA when trekking from his residence to the main road and was robbed the sum of Two Million Nine Hundred Thousand Naira (N2,900,000:00) leaving him with inflicted injuries on his head”, the police said.
The police recovered N611,000 from the suspect.
