RAMALLAH – Journalists covering the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine have protested the death of seven journalists in Palestine.

The journalists who protested through their unions were angry that their colleagues in the field, covering the war in Gaza were being targeted and killed by Israeli Defence Forces in the ongoing bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

They protested just as the death toll on the side of Palestine has exceeded 788 with over 4000 people have been injured.

Among the 788 killed are 140  children and seven (7) journalists Al Jazeera has  reported.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Commission for Human Rights, UNHCR has described the targeting of civilians, including journalists and blockade of Gaza as nothing but a war crime.

“There is already clear evidence that #WarCrimes have been committed in #Israel & #Gaza,  and all those targeting civilians must be held to account says the UN Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East  Jerusalem’.
