It however said it is investigating what transpired at the Federal High Court Lagos and that it will sanction officers involved, Dr. Peter Afunanya, Public Relations Officer, DSS said in a statement.
He said the DSS has tremendous respect for the Judiciary, noting that there are plots to discredit the service.
He said the service has robust relationship with Sister organisations including the NCoS.
“While noting that personnel from both services exhibited undue overzealousness, the service has further initiated detailed investigation on the matter.
“This is with a view to identifying the role played by specific persons as well as undertaking disciplinary actions if necessary and draw some lessons going forward”, Afunanya said.
He said the DSS has not broken any law regarding Emefiele despite the skewed narratives by some.
He said the service will strive to remain professional, maintain ethical standard and high sense of discipline in pursuit of its assignment.
