ABIA, Nigeria – All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), governorship Candidate in Abia State, Prof. Gregory Ibe has promised to prioritize healthcare, prompt salary payment and others if elected the governor.
He made the promised during an interactive session with some stakeholders in the state on Friday. According to him, Abians are going to experience a change in health care delivery if elected.
He added that for the state workforce to be productive ,they must be healthy to work to add value for the development of the state. He assured of the readiness of his government if elected to be prompt in the payment of workers salaries because a laborer deserves his wages.
According to him, the wages of workers contribute to his wellbeing and if not paid prompt, they may not be ready to work for the development of the state.
He also stated that he will give serious attention to the Human capital development to take the state to the next level , noting that during his regime ‘Made-in-Abia’ products would be exported abroad. He also assured of security and financial support to Abia traders via microfinance institutions.
According to him, creating employment opportunities for the Abia youths will help to revamp some of the moribund industries such as “Star Paper Mill” and others in the state .
Prof Gregory Ibe promised to improve on the standard of education in Abia State by equipping the higher education system in the state. He further promised to build more entrepreneurial school to enhance the wellbeing of Ndi Abia via education.
The APGA governorship candidate said, If elected, Abia mass transit buses would be lunched to be transporting people to different parts of the state thereby crashing high cost of transportation experienced by Ndi Abia.
