ABUJA, Nigeria – The Nigerian Police Force has handed over the suspended DCP Abba Kyari to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, few hours after he was declared wanted over his alleged involvement in a 25 kilograms Cocaine deal.
DCP Kyari was Commander of Intelligence Response Team (IRT) at the Force Intelligence Bureau of the Nigerian Police Force.
Until he was handed over, the DCP had been under probe by the Nigeria Police Force, following a two weeks ultimatum given to it by the Nigeria Police Service Commission.
Besides, Kyari, others also declared wanted by the NDLEA like ACP Sunday J. Ubua; ASP Bawa James; Inspector Simon Agirgba and Inspector John Nuhu have also been handed over to the NDLEA at its Abuja head office at about 5pm on Monday 14th February.
They are currently under interrogation in relation to their allegations against them.
The NDLEA has assured that no stone will be left unturned to ensure that all suspects already in custody and those that may still be indicted in the course of investigation will face the full weight of the law at the end of the ongoing probe.
