October 16, 2015 – Not less than 7 people have been confirmed dead and 17 others injured when three female suicide bombers detonated explosives in Nigeria’s northern city of Borno.

Several people are said to have been injured and taken to nearby hospital for treatment. The explosion, we gathered occured early Friday morning at Umarari Bayan Waya area of Mulai Village in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital when Muslims faithful were preparing for the early morning prayers.

According to BBC, the assailants are females between age 11 and 15.

The attack came just as similar attack left 32 killed on Thursday, official of the National Emergency Management Authority(NEMA) told the BBC.

Although no group has claimed responsibility, members of the radical Islamic sect, Boko Haram are suspected to be behind the attacks.

The group has carried out carlous attack on Nigeria’s territory killing and maiming thousands of innocent people.

This is coming just as Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Col. Tukur Buratai has assured tha the next few days will be crucial to Operation LAFIYA DOLE.

“It is also crucial to our country Nigeria. Our sovereignty as a nation is threatened. The military as the symbol of our nationhood is being challenged.

“Our ability to stand and defeat Boko Haram terrorists in the next few weeks will determine the future of our country. We cannot afford to lose the fight. We are better trained and better equipped”, he said.

According to him, the whole nation is behind us.
“Mr President is with us. Let us remain steadfast in this noble cause. Be courageous. We must degrade and defeat the terrorists. This job must be done. We must make our country men and women proud”, he said.
