TEL AVIV – Fifty(50) captives held in Hamas custody in the last 48 hours have been released to Israel. They were driven via motorcade into Israel earlier today.

The captives according to Senior Hamas officials were released as part of the deal it entered with Israel to release 150 Palestinians in Israeli Prison.
They 150 Palestinians have not been convicted for murder and most of them imprisoned for throwing stones and other minor offences.
Affirming the release, the Israel Defence Forces, IDF said that 22 of the Israeli and foreign released hostages have arrived at the Hatzerim Base.
The IDF said they will be taken to hospitals and reunited with their families. He added that two of the Israeli released hostages have been transferred to a hospital by vehicle.
“The released hostages are being accompanied by IDF soldiers from the Manpower Directorate and IDF medical officials.
“The families of the hostages were accompanied by IDF representatives and were updated with the latest available information”, the IDF said.
The IDF said Israeli security forces, and healthcare are ready to continue receiving additional hostages according to the agreement, alongside the IDF preparation to continue operating in the Gaza Strip.
