Gun men suspected to be members of the dread Islamic sect, Boko Haram have attacked three villages in Alagono, near Chibok, Borno State where over 200 girls were abducted by the sect over one month ago.

A report monitored on Ajazeera, quoted villagers as saying that the gun men killed at least 48 people. The attack is coming less than 24 hours after twin bombs exploded in Jos, Plateau State, killing scores of people.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the Jos attack, even as many suspect the sect which has threatened to carryout attacks in the North including refineries.

Most of the injured are currently receiving medical attention across hospitals in Jos.
