Says life of Israeli captives in danger as IDF advances in Northern Gaza

GAZA, Palestine – Not less than three Israeli soldiers have been killed in Northern Gaza in a fierce battle with Al-Qassam Brigades, the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF has announced.
The names of three fallen soldiers whose families have been notified are :
Captain Ilay Gavriel Atedgi, aged 22, from Kiryat Motzkin, a Deputy Company Commander in the Shimshon Battalion, Kfir Brigade, fell during combat in northern Gaza.
Staff Sergeant Netanel Pessach, aged 21, from Elazar, a soldier in the Shimshon Battalion, Kfir Brigade, fell during combat in northern Gaza.
Sergeant First Class (res.) Hillel Diener, aged 21, from Talmon, a soldier in the Shimshon Battalion, Kfir Brigade, fell during combat in northern Gaza.
The IDF also announced that it eliminated head of Hamas security intelligence.
“Yesterday (Sunday), with direction of IDF and ISA intelligence, the IAF struck and eliminated the terrorist Tharwat Muhammad Ahmed Albec, who served as the head of the Security Directorate of Hamas’ Security Mechanisms”, IDF Spokesman,Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said.
Albec, he said was operating in a command and control center that was embedded in a compound that previously served as the “Musa bin Nusayr” school in Duraj Taffah.
“The Security Directorate of Hamas’ Security Mechanisms produces intelligence assessments that help within Hamas’ decision-making and is also responsible for the security of senior Hamas members, providing them hideout places to ensure the continuation of their military activities.
“Albec served as a central figure in the Security Mechanisms and as a significant figure in the decision-making process”, he said.
Speaking on attacks in the Gaza Strip, Spokesman of the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida spoke of
the “heroism of our mujahideen and their field performance” in the northern Gaza Strip, saying it remains an inspiring model for all the free people of the world.
“The enemy hides its real losses and the miserable condition of its soldiers in the northern Gaza Strip in order to preserve the image of its army.
“The genocide and ethnic cleansing in the northern Gaza Strip targets innocent civilians to cover up the scandals and disgraces of the Zionist army”, he said, adding that the fate of some enemy prisoners depends on the advance of the occupation army by hundreds of metres in some of the areas under aggression.
Earlier, the Al-Qassam Brigades said that in a complex security operation “A number of our mujahideen managed to stab and kill 3 Zionist soldiers who were on a mission to protect a building in which a Zionist force was barricaded, then they stormed the house and eliminated all members of the Zionist force from zero distance, seized their weapons and took out a number of citizens who were held by the occupation inside the house in the Beit Lahia project in the northern Gaza Strip”.
