GAZA, Palestine – Founder of the Islamic Resistant Movement, Hamas, Sheikh Jabr Ammar is dead.
He died from severe injuries he sustained from continued bombing of the Gaza Strip by the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF.
Sheikh Jabr Ammar spent 14 years in the occupation’s prisons and was released in the 1983 prisoner exchange deal (Jibril deal).
He became part of the resistance’s cadres against the occupation in Gaza after 1967 and is considered one of the founders of the Islamic movement within the occupation’s prisons.
Jabr returned to Gaza shortly before the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood after 30 years of exile in Sudan.
Sheikh Jabr Ammar was reported to have told the late Yahya Sinwar: “God willing, I am one of the soldiers whom God has blessed with a thunderous voice.”
