A unified Arab stance on Gaza, will make displacement, annexation, settlement impossible – Hamas

GAZA, Palestine – The Islamic Resistant Movement in Palestine, Hamas has commended Arabs ahead of the summit in Cairo for rejecting President Donald Trump’s proposal on the Gaza Strip, stressing that a unified Arab stance will thwart attempts of displacement, annexation and settlements.

While welcoming the convening of the Arab Summit, Hamas said holding of the Arab Summit today marks an advanced stage of Arab and Islamic alignment with the just Palestinian cause.

“We appreciate the statements of the leaders and heads of state at the Arab Summit, all of which emphasized rejecting the occupation’s plans to displace our people”, the group said adding that it wholeheartedly values the “Arab stance rejecting any attempts to displace our people or erase their national cause, and we consider it a dignified position and a historic message”.

Hamas added: “We affirm that our people, supported by a unified Arab stance, are capable of thwarting the attempts of displacement, annexation, and settlement.

“We welcome the Gaza Reconstruction Plan approved by the Arab Summit and call for providing all necessary means for its success.

“The Arab Summit’s call for the implementation of the ceasefire agreement is political support for our people and pressure on the entity to prevent any changes to the agreement.

“We emphasize the necessity of obliging the criminal enemy to respect its commitments under the ceasefire agreement.

“We call for unified Arab steps to force the occupation to implement the terms of the agreement and pressure to allow the entry of aid.

“We call for pressure on the occupation to begin negotiations for the second phase and move forward with implementing the agreement.

“We welcome what was stated in the Arab Summit’s statement regarding the building of Palestinian national institutions to reflect the aspirations of our people”, Hamas noted.

It added that the aspirations of Palestinians people will be realized through holding legislative and presidential elections as soon as possible.

“We call on our Arab countries to continue supporting the steadfastness of our Palestinian people in the face of the criminal enemy”.
