WASHINGTON – President of the United States, Mr. Donald J. Trump has relaxed proposed 25 percent tariffs on goods from Mexico after a friendly phone call with President Claudia Sheinbaum.

Trump had imposed the tariffs  to stop illegal flow of fentanyl which is reported to be responsible for about 70,000 deaths in the United States and to halt flow of illegal immigrants into the U.S.

Writing on his X, Trump said he just had a friendly conversation with President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico, adding that she has agreed to immediately supply 10,000 Mexican soldiers to the border separating Mexico and the United States.

He said the soldiers will specifically be  designated to stop the flow of the lethal fentanyl  and illegal immigrants into the U.S.
