AWKA, Anambra – An entrepreneur, Dr. Frank Igbojindu, has described investment in education as the major way of storing wealth for the future, and not a scam as perceived by many youths.

Igbojindu, the Chief Executive Officer of Akpoazaa Foundation, made the statement at a news conference in Awka, the capital of Anambra State, to unveil the foundation’s scholarship scheme and skill acquisition programs for 2025.

According to him, good education could indirectly solve half of personal and societal challenges, as well as foster national development.

“At Akpoazaa Foundation, we strongly believe in education as it is the ticket to securing a better future in Nigeria. This is why we are trying to correct the narrative that ‘education is a scam.'”

“We are investing in education and vocational training for indigent persons in Anambra and the entire Southeast, so that our youth can be educated, self-reliant, and contribute meaningfully to society.”

“This year, we are introducing Akpoazaa Media Factory to empower 1,000 youths with essential skills that will address the critical gaps in the media industry.”

“We will be paying the school fees, JAMB fees, and WAEC fees for 1,000 indigent students to mark my 40th birthday, as well as sponsoring the Dozzy quiz competition for Legacy University Okija, Anambra,” he said.

Igbojindu stated that the foundation would hold an Anambra State Teachers’ Competition and the Mathematics and Igbo Quiz Competition for senior secondary schools.

He said there would be a selection of 250 JS1 students across the Southeast who would benefit from the foundation’s scholarship scheme.

“There will also be a Southeast University Quiz Competition and Best Brain competition to recognize the best graduating students at Nnamdi Azikiwe University.”

“Through Akpoazaa Foundation, a three-bedroom bungalow is already under construction for a widow in Okija who is in dire need, and it will be handed over in April.”

“We appreciate the De Imperial philanthropic family, Dr. Ernest Obiejesi, and Dr. Daniel Chukwudozie for their support towards education and humanity.”

“The Akpoazaa Foundation is committed to fostering change and creating a better future for our youth. We appeal for support from well-meaning individuals and groups to achieve this cause,” he concluded.
