TEL AVIV, Israel – The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF says it has eliminated Tarek Doush, one of the heads of Tulkarm Network.
He was eliminated with Dossam Awfi among others.
IDF Spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said Tarek Doush was eliminated in an IDF airstrike.
“In a joint IDF and ISA activity earlier today (Thursday), one of the heads of the Tulkarm terrorist network, Tarek Doush, was eliminated in a strike by an IDF aircraft”, the Spokesman said, adding over the past year, Tarek recruited numerous terrorists, armed and funded by Iran and by Lebanese terror operatives with relations to the Maqdah family, to plan and execute attacks against Israelis.
“The terrorist network led by Tarek carried out multiple shooting attacks against IDF soldiers, as well as shooting attacks against checkpoints and communities near the Judea and Samaria security fence in the area of Tulkarm.
“Additionally, the terrorist network planned to execute terrorist attacks in Israeli territory.
“Along with Tarek, the terrorist Dossam Awfi, a significant military operative in the Tulkarm terrorist network , was also eliminated together with two additional terrorists”, he said.
He said the Kfir Brigade continues its operations in the Beit Lahia area of northern Gaza under the command of the 162nd Division.
” Soldiers from the Yahalom Unit, alongside engineering troops, have identified and dismantled three underground tunnel routes spanning approximately 7.5 kilometers in length and reaching dozens of meters in depth.
“In one of the tunnel routes, IDF equipment that had been captured by Hamas terrorists on October 7th was discovered, along with maps of Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip, weapons, and living quarters.
“The Kfir Brigade has been actively operating for over two months to locate weapons, dismantle terrorist infrastructure both above and below ground, eliminate terrorists in close-quarters combat, and conduct airstrikes on military targets in the Beit Lahia area”, he said.
