Israel loses one Commander in battle against Hezbollah, eliminates fire brigade jihadist in Gaza

TEL AVIV – The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF has announced the death of a Platoon Commander in the battle against Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon just as it eliminated a fire brigade support jihadist in the city of Gaza.

In a statement announcing the development, IDF Spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari named the Platoon Commander as Lieutenant Ivri Dickshtein, aged 21.

He is from Eli, a platoon commander in the 51st Battalion, Golani Brigade.

The statement said he fell during combat with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

As for the jihadist, Alkaman Abed Elslam Khalil Anbar, Hagari said he was responsible for fire support in the Islamic Jihad’s Gaza City Brigade

“In the Gaza Strip, with the intelligence direction of the ISA, the IAF struck and eliminated the terrorist Alkaman Abed Elslam Khalil Anbar”.

He said he was responsible for fire support in the Islamic Jihad’s Gaza City Brigade.

“Anbar was responsible for the Islamic Jihad’s rocket fire array from the Gaza Strip toward Israeli territory and was a significant figure in the organization’s weapons manufacturing processes.

“He was eliminated alongside other Islamic Jihad terrorists who fired rockets toward the State of Israel and IDF troops.

“Furthermore, IDF troops continue operational activity in the Jabaliya, Beit Lahia, and Rafah areas in the Gaza Strip”, adding that over the past day, the troops eliminated terrorists in close-quarters encounters and in directed aerial strikes and located large quantities of weaponry, including explosive devices, machine guns, and additional terrorist equipment.
