GAZA, Palestine – The Benjamin Netanyahu led war cabinet has intensified the killing of journalists using the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF which has been on rampage in the Gaza Strip since October 8, 2023.
The latest victims of their onslaught were two Palestinian journalists, who have been very professional in reporting atrocities against the Palestinians.
The two journalists are Bulal Rajab and Baraa Ali Daghesh.
Bilal Rajab was killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a civilian gathering near Fras Market east of Gaza City.
Baraa Ali Daghesh was killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a residential building north of Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip.
According to the Government Media Office, 182 Palestinian journalists have been killed since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.
Speaking on the incident, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned deliberate killings of journalists since the onset of the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, calling it “unacceptable.”
He added, “Journalists in Gaza have been killed at a level unseen in any conflict,” emphasizing that the ongoing ban preventing international journalists from entering Gaza further suffocates the truth.
