TEL AVIV, Israel – The Israeli Defence Forces,IDF has confirmed formally that it eliminated the Spokesman and Chief Propagandist of the Lebanese Islamic Resistance, Hezbollah.
In a statement, Spokesman of the IDF, Rear Admiral, Daniel Hagari said Afif was killed on Sunday.
” Today (Sunday), November 17th, 2024, the IDF conducted a precise, intelligence-based strike in the area of Beirut and eliminated the terrorist Mohammed Afif, the Chief Propagandist and Spokesperson of the Hezbollah terrorist organization”, the statement said.
Hagari added that Afif was a senior Hezbollah military operative, having joined the organization in the 1980s.
“Since the beginning of the war, Afif wielded significant influence over Hezbollah’s military operations.
“He was in contact with senior officials and directly involved in advancing and executing Hezbollah’s terrorist activities against Israel.
“Moreover, Afif directed Hezbollah operatives to gather footage from the field, to be used for Hezbollah’s propaganda and psychological terror.
“He also received orders from Hezbollah’s senior military commanders regarding Hezbollah’s responsibility for the UAV attack on the Prime Minister of Israel’s residence, in Caesarea on October 19th, 2024.
“Afif’s impact on the terrorist organization proves that he was directly involved in Hezbollah’s terrorist activity against the State of Israel”, he said.
