WASHINGTON – President of World Trade Organisation, WTO, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has called out the self-styled leader of Biafra Republic in the Netherlands, Mr. Simon Ekpa, stressing that Ekpa spewed nothing but total falsehood when he published on X that the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, IMF have approved a loan of $57.5 billion to form Biafra Government in exile after December 2nd 2024 declaration and that Iweala, former Minister of Finance in Nigeria facilitated approval for the money.

Replying his message, Okonjo-Iweala stated: ” I know no sensible person will believe what is contained in the outrageous tweet below but in these troubled times it is important to underscore that the statement is false. Again, I enjoin all those seeking to misuse my name to desist”, he warned.

Simon Ekpa in specific terms tweeted: BREAKING. The World Bank and IMF have agreed to loan the sum of $ 57.5 billion to Biafra Republic Government in exile(BRGIE) to form our government after December 2nd 2024 declaration of Biafra.
