LAGOS, Nigeria – Pretty Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke Faani has revealed the state of her mental health in the latest update she provided on her social media channel.

She chose to make the disclosure on Mental Health Day.

“My name is Chacha Eke Fanni and today is 10th October 2024 it’s the world mental health day.  I am bipolar every now and then a chemical reaction causes a spark in my brain leading to dysfunction and behavior that I don’t like”, she said.

Chacha Eke Faani provided further insights: “Sometimes my mind runs too fast for my body to keep up.  I can be restless sleepless, a whirlwind of thoughts.  I experience life intensely every emotion heightened but, in the chaos, I am finding my peace”, she related.

She said she is bipolar when depression hits like “moving through quick sands but I getup even when it feels impossible. I am bipolar creativity floods me in burst then vanishes into silence. I ride the wave knowing both sides have value”, she said.

She related that in her situation, she is controlling, a perfectionist caught in an endless loop  it’s the OCD I aim to please. I am bipolar my mood shifts without warning my energy rises and falls like the tides it’s the energy highs and lows still I rise”, she said to give further insights on the situation.

She said in her condition, the task others take on strides leaves her completely drained. “Exhaustion and fatigue follows every effort.  I am bipolar but I don’t bite I am just like you. Every day I am fighting , world mental health day be kind”, she said.

Chacha Eke Faani first disclose the state of her mental health on Sunday, 27th November, 2022 at House onf the Rock Church, Asaba, Delta State. She currently runs Meticulous People Foundation.
