ABAKALIKI, Ebonyi – A Nigerian musician, Patrick Nnaemeka Okories better known as Patoranking is bereaved. He is reported to have lost his sister, Chioma Buchi and his brother-in-law in an explosion that rocked their apartment in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
According to reports, Chioma Buchi, a relative of Patoranking who recently married to George Buchi and she and her husband moved into the newly built apartment just few weeks after marriage.
The cause of the explosion is yet to be determined but both husband and wife were said to have lost their lives in the incident.
Some have attributed the cause of the explosion to cooking gas, while some say is their inverter battery.
Chioma is said to have died on the spot while George died on Wednesday September 11, 2024. They both left behind a three year old son.
