RAMALLAH – The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF in association with officials of the Palestinian Authority, PA has abducted Fairouz  Salameh, a journalist, who is show host of Free Palestinian TV as well as 10 others in raids across the Gaza Strip.

Fairouz Salameh, who is on PhD scholarship was abducted when officials of the government invaded her office in Ramallah at the Institute for Palestine Studies.

Fairouz was freed in the November 2023 exchange deal achieved by the Palestinian resistance, Hamas.

In recent days, she is reported to have written extensively on social media about the common struggle between Palestine and Lebanon, sharing mutual aid and political action resources.

We gathered that her arrest comes as the Palestinian Authority intensified attacks on student movement in particular, and while Birzeit University where students are carrying out  hunger strike to demand the liberation of their abducted colleagues Amr Kayed, Abdullah Rabaya and Qassam Dalni, from PA jails.

We gathered that the abduction of Fairouz Salameh is part of the same “security coordination” scheme that has seen the PA dismantle resistance explosives throughout the West Bank, imprison Basel al-Araj and his comrades, and form a united front with the occupation against the student movement.
