GAZA – There are indications that the leader of the Palestinian Resistant Movement, Hamas in Palestine, Alhaji Yahya Sinwar has succeeded Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas Political Bureau, who was assassinated by Israel in Tehran.

Yahya Sinwar is the Hamas leader most wanted by the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Hamas announced this evening that Sinwar has succeeded Haniyeh as head of Political Bureau in a statement published by the Iranian News Agency, IRNA.

Hamas had earlier rejected Khaled Meshaal to succeed Ismail Haniyeh on the ground of his critical stance against Iran.
