Three brothers charged for attempted murder of woman at Notting Hill Carnival

LONDON – Three brothers have been charged to court for attempted murder of a 32 year old woman who was stabbed at the Notting Hill Carnival on Sunday.

The three brothers are  Shakiel Thibou, 20 of Masbro Road, W12, who was arrested at an address in Hammersmith and Fulham on Tuesday morning.

In the early hours of Wednesday, 28 August he was charged with attempted murder, violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. Two other men have been charged in relation to the same incident. The three men are brothers, the Met police said in a statement.

Sheldon Thibou, 24  of Star Road, W12 has also been charged with violent disorder, possession of a stun gun and assaulting an emergency worker.

Shaeim Thibou, 22 of Charleville Road, W14 has been charged with violent disorder and assaulting an emergency worker. All three have been remanded to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning.

Shortly before 18:00hrs on Sunday, officers deployed in Golborne Road, W10 as part of the Carnival policing operation became aware of a woman who had been stabbed.

The officers, including police medics, gave emergency medical treatment until the arrival of paramedics. The woman was later transported to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
