TEHRAN – The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF has assassinated Ismail Haniyeh, the Political Bureau Chief of the Palestinian Resistant Movement.
Haniyeh was assassinated in Iran, during his visit for the inauguration of the newly elected President of Iran.
He was assassinated with his bodyguards.
He was killed just 24 hours after killing senior Hezbollah leader in Beirut, Lebanon.
“This evening, the IDF carried out a targeted strike in Beirut on Fuad Shukr, also known as “Sayyid Muhsan”, Hezbollah’s most senior military commander and the Head of its Strategic Unit, Spokesman of IDF, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said of the Hezbollah leader.
Meanwhile, Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that the blood of Ismail Haniyeh will not go in vain.
In response to Haniyeh’s assassination, President Pezeshkian said Iran will defend its territorial integrity, dignity and honor, adding that the terrorist invaders will regret their cowardly action.
