ABUJA, Nigeria – The Nigeria Police Force, NPF has described as criminal new trends where men of the police force, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC are abducted in the process of contravening vehicles.
In a video broadcast, Force PRO, Prince Muyiwa Adejobi said the situation is embarrassing both to the police force and Nigeria as a country. He described the situation as amounting to an abuse of human rights.
Muyiwa who denounced the action of the officers who have formed the habit of sitting in the vehicles under contravention said two wrongs do not make a right.
He appealed to Nigerians to obey the officers, whom he said are on their duty post to make Nigeria safe for all.
He called on Nigerians to however cooperate with officers and follow them to their various stations, adding that individuals under contravention can call Public Relations Officers in all the divisions if they found that the officers concerned are acting beyond boundaries.
He appealed to Nigerians to help the police in the quest to make things right.
