TEL AVIV – Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned European countries recognising Palestine as an independent sovereign state, describing the gesture as reward for terrorism.
“The intention of several European countries to recognize a Palestinian state is a reward for terrorism”, he said, shortly after his Foreign Minister recalled Israel’s ambassadors to Norway and Ireland.
According to him, 80% of the Palestinians in Judea and Samaria support the terrible massacre of October 7.
“This evil cannot be given a state”, he said, but that it would evolve into a terrorist state.
“This would be a terrorist state. It will try to repeat the massacre of October 7 again and again; we will not consent to this”, he said.
Netanyahu said rewarding terrorism will not bring peace and neither “will it stop us from defeating Hamas”, he said.
